home...

This song just started playing on my ipod as I was working at office...reminded me of the recent 15 days long stay away from home...
The song is called home and singer is none other than my fav Michel Buble. :-)

Another summer day
Has come and gone away
In Paris and Rome
But I wanna go home
Mmmmmmmm

Maybe surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone
I just wanna go home
Oh, I miss you, you know

And I’ve been keeping all the letters that I wrote to you
Each one a line or two
“I’m fine baby, how are you?”
Well I would send them but I know that it’s just not enough
My words were cold and flat
And you deserve more than that

Another aeroplane
Another sunny place
I’m lucky I know
But I wanna go home
Mmmm, I’ve got to go home

Let me go home
I’m just too far from where you are
I wanna come home

And I feel just like I’m living someone else’s life
It’s like I just stepped outside
When everything was going right
And I know just why you could not
Come along with me
'Cause this was not your dream
But you always believed in me

Another winter day has come
And gone away
In even Paris and Rome
And I wanna go home
Let me go home

And I’m surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone
Oh, let me go home
Oh, I miss you, you know

Let me go home
I’ve had my run
Baby, I’m done
I gotta go home
Let me go home
It will all be all right
I’ll be home tonight
I’m coming back home

Hi Sundar,

This is with reference to your comment on i7's blog-

True, our leaders are not just capable of controlling external invaders but they are more than willing to sell off ur land and we are also more than willing to sell our soul to other nations. The NRIs are a living proof of this.

I wanted to reply to you on this -

I would totally disagree with Sundar. If living and working in Indian meant patriotism, numerous things can be questioned!

For beginners, why speak in English, why do you blog in English? Why allow westernised lifestyle to affect you? Why even wear western clothes? Can you run away from these changes even living in our country? Well, if you are a true patriot, have you helped the poor in any single way till date? Have you understood that our country doesnot always have the best infrastructure to support the advanced technology and invest intelligence in the right manner?

and i7 has clearly pointed out how till date NRIs contribute more to the nation and have helped bring developed, mind you bringing pride to our nation.

I have been an NRI almost all through out my life and I have observed, its a sad state that our country with so much potential, is in the wrong hands...By God's grace,I have been doing charity from the time I am earning (4 yrs), I don't see my patriotism sold!

If only you would open you eyes and see the truth....

Hi Raeka,
Well I don't mean any offense to NRIs as such, and not that living in India makes one any more patriotic, nor does charity. I meant the comment in a completely different way.

You say you have been giving away to charity since 4. Congrats. Well I would seriously think of how to get those in need of charity to a state where they dont have to beg at all. To me, that would be progress.

Today NRIs bring in loads of money. That is because of the conversion rates. If 1 rupee was 40 USDs then what happen?

The comment was on how all the knowledge gained by going abroad to learn and work in fine institutions is just lost there itself. If you want to do charity why not help someone in India who cant afford a NRI status to gain the knowledge that the supposedly developed nations have? Instead of donating money, it would be nobler to share knowledge. That was the intension of my comment.

amen.

Thnks :-)
